So it looks like the ass hats in the FCC may have come to an agreement with the telco lobbyists. While nothing is finalized yet, it appears that in exchange for a whole bunch of campaign contributions to democrumbs this coming election, the telcos will get to do whatever they want! Yep, this is your government folks.

So, over the last couple of months I have become aware of what I've been eating, what we've all been eating. It's not good. Basically, everything (well, pretty much everything) is based from corn. Not regular corn, but specially modified corn that is grown specifically to make high fructose corn syrup and a bunch of other shit that is really nasty for you. This corn is not edible, it actually has a chalk like taste - and we grow millions of stalks, all approved by our beloved government.

If you want a wake up call as to what you are consuming, I have 2 videos for you to watch. The first is "Food, Inc." which shows how the food we eat is "created" and what really is in that hamburger meat we eat. It shows the gross mistreatment of the animals, and what some of the ranchers go thru just to keep their contracts. The other is called "King Corn". The show starts with a test to show what these two guys are made of- and the answer is corn. They show the ingredients of corn syrup (they make some homemade) and, well, I'm never touching that stuff again if I can help it. Let's just say that one of the ingredients has a big CORROSIVE warning on the front. They had to use gloves to make it. Both videos are available for streaming on Netflix.

Our family has begun transitioning to all organic food, grass fed meat, and using more veggies and fruits in our diet, and not so much meat. It's a bit of a challenge to find foods that don't contain some form of corn, but it's been a great education, and we've been able to discover some really good foods that we've ignored. I'm really hooked on Ginger Tea (although the kids don't like it) which has helped me with insomnia. There's a local rancher that produces hamburger that tasted like steak- just awesome.

I encourage everyone to watch those two films. They are hard to watch at times, especially if you are an animal lover, but vital to really understand what is going on with the food we eat- what it does to the animals, and what it does to us. Please join me and support the local farmers and ranchers that grow veggies/fruits that are organic, and raise animals humanely and feed them what they are supposed to eat (hint: it's not corn).

Hi There, Hey There, Ho There,

It was long overdue. I've finally updated the site with some real content, and added this blog, built on WordPress MU. Most everyone has heard of WordPress, and WPMU is the software that runs the WordPress.com site- the MU just stands for "multi-user".

If you got here through your interweb travels and aren't familiar with me, let me first say "welcome, I'm glad your here", and to encourage you to look around and see more about me, and what I'm about.

Don't forget to subscribe to the feed, and if you haven't already- friend me up on Twitter and those other places. I look forward to connecting with you here, there and everywhere!

So until next time......LATER!
